The Palm Beach County Medical Society (PBCMS) is issuing a Call for Abstracts for its Poster Symposium, as part of the 2020 State of Medicine Dinner at the Airport Hilton on Thursday, January 30, 2020. The objective for the poster presentations is to offer students, residents, fellows, and other physician scholars an opportunity to share significant research and interesting clinical vignettes with their fellow clinicians. We encourage all of our colleagues to participate in this educational program by submission of an abstract and application.

Criteria for Selection: Research abstracts should contain the background, research question, protocol, methods, results and conclusions. The research can be either basic science or clinical research. Clinical vignettes should be pertinent and timely. Notification by e-mail of abstract application acceptance or rejection will be sent via email by December 20, 2019. Authors of abstracts accepted for poster presenters must attend the PBCMS Poster Symposium on the evening of Thursday, January 30, 2020. Please read and complete the attached Disclosure Form. Volunteer physician members of the PBCMS Committee on Medical Education make final decisions about eligibility. PBCMS reserves the right to deny any application that, in the opinion of the Committee, is deemed promotional, commercial or unethical. These regulations are designed to ensure that each poster presentation accepted helps achieve the purpose of stimulating research and education throughout the health care community.

Set-up and Dismantling: The poster must be placed in the space provided by 2pm on Thursday, January 30, 2020. It is permissible for non authors to hang posters if necessary. If you require assistance, please contact Deanna Lessard at PBCMS at 561-433-3940 ext. 105. All posters must be left up for display until the dinner is over that evening January 30, 2020.
