At this time there are numerous relief organizations on the ground. To the best of our ability, PBCMS will maintain a listing of organizations, opportunities for medical volunteers and needed medical supplies.

If you are selected to participate in a Bahamas Relief Cruise, you will be notified by email.


It is strongly recommended that volunteers connect with established organizations. To volunteer as a medical professional, permission must be obtained from the Bahamian Govt.

Rand Hospital
The staff working at the damaged Rand Hospital are in need of personal supplies: toiletries, brand new (not used) clothes, sneakers, sandals, socks, also feminine products, baby care items, cleaning supplies. Mark “Rand Hospital Freeport Employees” to the donations so that it gets directed to them. 

Medical Supplies Needed

The Palm Beach County Medical Society will be accepting donations medical supplies at the PBCMS office located at 3540 Forest Hill Blvd., Suite 101, West Palm Beach Florida, Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Below is a list of requested items. Contact the PBCMS office at [email protected] or call 561-433-3940 with any questions. We will not be accepting other items at this location. Thank you.

• Ace bandages

• Anesthesia supplies (ambu bags, face masks, manual resuscitators, endotracheal tubes)

• Casting materials

• Catheters (suction, foley, and urethral. No cardiac or balloon)

• Dressings (gauze, bandages, Band-Aids, 4 x 4’s, etc.)

• EKG supplies (electrodes, recording paper, leads, etc.)

• Cautery pencils

• Endotracheal and tracheal tubes

• Gloves (OR and exam)

• Gowns (OR and exam)

• IV supplies (catheter placement, butterflies, injection sites, extensions)

• IV Solutions

• Orthopedic supplies (braces, slings, supports)

• Walkers, crutches

• Q-tip applicators and containers

• Scrub/prep (surgical scrub, iodine, brushes, sponges)
