Dr. Benjamin A. Bensadon is a licensed psychologist and Associate Director, FAU Internal Medicine Residency Program—Geriatrics & Palliative Care rotation. At FAU he trains medical students and residents, as well as other healthcare professionals; and provides direct clinical services in primary care, long-term care, rehabilitation and hospital settings. He also conducts research which has included exposing trainees to caregivers and patients as professors.
 
Dr. Bensadon completed his doctoral training at the University of Florida and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. More recently he created and led a team of physicians and psychologists as Editor of a collaborative text titled: Psychology & Geriatrics: Integrated Care for an Aging Population, and has co-authored book chapters on management decisions in mild cognitive impairment and geriatric neurology. Dr. Bensadon was 1 of 15 clinicians selected nationally to serve as a National Geriatrics Leadership Scholar by the American Geriatrics Society and most recently opened his own practice “Bensadon Medical Psychology & Geriatrics, PLLC” to provide behavioral health services in collaboration with physicians from the community.
