Dr. Lawrence Gorfine is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine.  A graduate of Dickinson College, Dr. Gorfine attended medical school at the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy and completed his Internship at Brown University Hospitals,  Providence, Rhode Island, and his Residency in Anesthesia and Pain Medicine at Tufts New England Medical Centers in Boston.  He is a past Director of Pain Medicine and Fellowship Director at the Medical College of Virginia. A member of Palm Beach County Medical Society since 1978, Dr. Gorfine has served the Society in numerous leadership positions.  Dr. Gorfine most recently served as a member of the FMA's Council on Legislation.  Dr. Gorfine was the recipient of the 2004 PBCMS Physician Advocacy Award.  He has also served as the President of the Florida Acacemy of Pain Medicine and as President of the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists.  Nationally, he has served on the Economics Committee and Pain Medicine Committee of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.  Dr. Gorfine is Director and President of Palm Beach Spine & Pain Institute.
