Heroes in Medicine

Heroes are men and women who put others before themselves. They are unafraid of doing the “hard work” to improve the world around them. Heroes see problems and solve them. They see people in need – and help them. Heroes don’t seek or need the spotlight, but we think it is time to shine it on them. Palm Beach County Medical Society Services, a non-profit organization, will host its 7th Annual Heroes in Medicine awards luncheon. The Heroes in Medicine Awards recognizes individuals and organizations that utilize their skills in the field of healthcare to provide outstanding services which meet the needs of people in local, national and/or global communities. The proceeds from the event benefit Project Access, providing health care for low income, uninsured residents of Palm Beach County and the Medical Society’s medical scholarship fund. The purpose of the awards program is to encourage and stimulate commitment to service, community and corporate involvement.  The awards will be presented at the Heroes in Medicine luncheon at the Kravis Center’s Cohen Pavilion on May 6, 2010. To be considered for an award, nominations must be received by March 1, 2010. Winners and sponsors will be recognized in a special advertisement in On Call, the journal of Palm Beach County Medical Society
